About Me

I'm currently an Instructor of Philosophy at Auburn University. Beginning in fall 2019, I will be an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Ryerson University in Toronto.

Before coming to Auburn, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Sage School of Philosophy at Cornell University, and I received my PhD in Philosophy from the University of Southern California in August 2016.

My primary research area is ethics, including metaethics, normative ethics, moral psychology, and the history of ethics. I am especially fascinated by the question of how we ever come to know what is right or wrong, good or bad. I also have a serious interest in the nature and value of hope.
