About Me

I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Toronto Metropolitan University. I was previously a Postdoctoral Fellow at Cornell University and an Instructor at Auburn University. I received my PhD in Philosophy (advised by Mark Schroeder) from the University of Southern California in August 2016.

My primary research area is ethics, including metaethics, normative ethics, moral psychology, and the history of ethics. I am especially fascinated by the question of how we ever come to know what is right or wrong, good or bad. I also have serious interests in the nature and value of hope and (romantic) love.
