About Me

I am an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Toronto Metropolitan University. I received my PhD in Philosophy (advised by Mark Schroeder) from the University of Southern California in August 2016. As of Summer 2026, I am an Executive Editor at Canadian Journal of Philosophy.

My primary research area is ethics, including metaethics, normative ethics, and moral psychology. I am especially fascinated by the question of how we ever come to know what is right or wrong, good or bad.

I also have serious interests in the philosophy of hope/despair as well as love. My work on love is presently supported by a 4-year SSHRC Insight Grant: The Nature and Ethics of Romantic Love
